Castle forks, completion last update: 8/2004

Well, this is how far I got for the time being.

Everything is machined and mated up. I am still a bit reluctant to braze the front legs together, as I want the bridge to sit just right. I have seen too many bikes where the mudguard sat in a wrong position or it required some ungainly spacers between the bridge and the mudguard...

Also I am sill thinking of adding a bracing web to the rear of the main legs. This was a period modification in the 1920's and it would give the thin Harley legs some more strength.

And then, I will still have to make the side dampers..

11/2004: This I have achieved now, at last. It was more work than expected, have a look at the respective page.
